Call For Art

Request for Submission

Community Contributed Magazine and Murals

Overview

The Community Contributed Magazine and Mural project will feature Digital Art, Written Word and Painted Scenes. The completed works will be published in a community sourced magazine that will be delivered throughout Ogden and the large majority of Weber County. This collaborative piece will showcase the resiliency of our mountain town through short stories, poems, and digital artworks. Once the stories have been submitted and selected, mural artists will also be commissioned to create 8ft x 8ft murals that will be on a pop-up display in each of the four downtown districts with the addition of the Ogden River Parkway. Five locations in total.
The Ogden Downtown Alliance, alongside community partners including Nuture the Creative Mind, Ogden City Arts and Weber County RAMP, is hosting a call for art in three categories: written word, digital media and mural paintings. Participants are welcome to submit in one or multiple categories and may submit multiple pieces in each category if desired. Submissions will be due in PDF file format by October 5th. Please carefully read this call for art and submit correctly.

Submissions will be selected on or before October 15th and a stipend will be awarded for selected submissions. The stipend varies by size and scope of work.
